The LIHUP – Lift Her Up Initiative Launch took place on Monday 26th June, 2023 at Mika Convention Centre being the climax of all LIHUP’s work since 2022. It has been operating when the LIHUP Board and part-time staff started operating to get the Organisation set up and registered in Zambia. The Board and Management contributed resources for the Launch of the Organisation to be held regardless of non-funding.

The Launch was graced with the presence of the Chair for the Teaching Service Commission-TSC represented by – Mrs Mwangala Mubiana who read a speech on her behalf. The LIHUP Board Chair- Mrs Lillian Moonga gave a background of LIHUP and what it is working for.  The Director shared testimonies of how she has gotten to where she is able to drive and grow the organisation. Mrs Judith Mwila- Executive Director- for Families Are Nations-FAN shared some interventions for FAN that will work hand in hand with LIHUP Initiative. A Professional Consultant-Papa M. Diop shared insights on how we can make Education be a Public Service and that Parents were the customers and not the children. On a spiritual part, the Man of God-Prophet Maxwell Chanda Mbulo called on the Vision Carriers in Africa to realise their vision as it was a move from God to help people, communities and the nation.

The commitments made in the meeting and those who attended virtually ranged from Cash support, Financial support, Technical support and Connectivity to potential funding of other resources.
